Music Lessons for Children

Top notch teachers for affordable private music lessons

Conveniently located in Central MA right in the heart of downtown Leominster, the Monument Square Community Music School  provides music lessons for all ages and instruments.   We are excited to open a school in the area that is completely dedicated to teaching music lessons.  This allows us to concentrate on having the best teachers on our faculty.  All of our faculty is college educated, most earning degrees in music.  Our teachers are also great performers and most play regularly in the Worcester/Boston area.  Monument Square Community Music School director/pianist Joe Mazzarella, who is a New England Conservatory graduate himself,  is always looking to hire the best musicians in the area and has selected and auditioned all of the teachers.  For more information about our teachers, check out our “faculty” page on this website! http://monumentsquaremusic.com/about/instructors/

A child’s interest in music

Private music lessons for children can provide a fun and challenging way to further their natural interest in music. If your child loves to sing and dance, listen to the radio, or has an interest in an instrument, music lessons are something that you should consider! Giving the gift of music lessons to your child is giving the gift of a life-long skill. Many of our students develop a lasting love for playing music and will be able to play or sing at advanced level for years to come. Whether they take just a few lessons or continue for years, children will learn skills that allow them to perform music for the rest of their lives.

Recital Performances

Our students perform in a recital every year in late May or June.  The recitals are a fun way for children to learn how to perform and a chance for them to listen to other students in the school.  The recitals are held at City Hall in Downtown Leominster.  It’s always an amazing place to perform in such a beautiful setting in a great sounding room!

Music lessons for all instruments!

Lessons for voice, guitar, bass, drums, piano, sax, trumpet, flute, violin, cello, mandolin, banjo, all in downtown Leominster MA! We think parents should introduce their kids to some of these instruments and see what sparks an interest in the child.  One way to do this is to find recordings of great musicians playing these instruments and play them for your child.  Even showing them some clips on YouTube can give you an idea of what they are into.  You can always give us a call and we can assist you and suggest recordings.  When you think you have found the instrument we’ll set up a meet-and-greet with the teacher who you have in mind.
